We asked Radhini De Costa from Nestle Sri Lanka to share her experience and thoughts on the BestWeb competition. Radhini believes that the Best Web award has helped Nestle stay competitive in a fast evolving digital world and says “Nestlé Lanka has fully embraced the digital era. We believe that our corporate website helps the company interactively engage with our consumers and other stakeholders, paving the path for constant communication and transparency”. She said that they submitted their website for the competition to assess the website against market norm, given the effort that Nestle has invested on constructing the site. She also added the fact that the competition has motivated them to improve their website design and helped them “look outside and benchmark their site against both local and global sites”.
Radhini also highlighted “distinctive, aesthetically pleasing, with intuitive navigation and Social Media Integration” as some of the unique features of their website. While winning the competition would “help reinforce the aim to win in digital” she also said that it will be a great idea if Best Web could “Invest in a lot more publicity in the digital medium to further increase awareness of the competition”
