This change moves beyond simple vote counts, offering a more meaningful evaluation that combines public ratings with quality assessments. The system is now live, and Rate & Review is open until 9th July 2025!

HERE'S HOW TO RATE AND REVIEW IT!
Rating & Review System
The BestWeb.LK Rating & Review System recognizes the Most Popular Websites across all categories.
By combining public ratings with quality control measures, the system ensures a fair and balanced evaluation beyond simple vote counts.
How Rating Works
01. Discover and Rate Websites
The public will be able to explore all shortlisted websites, organized by category. A direct link will be provided so that visitors can view each site before submitting a rating.
02. Rating Process
- Users can rate each website on a scale from 1 to 5, based on their overall impression.
- Each person can only rate and review a specific website once to ensure fairness.
- After rating a website, users will be encouraged to rate others in the same category to help ensure broad and fair feedback.
- A website must receive a minimum of 400 verified ratings to qualify for the Most Popular Website award.
- Among the qualified websites, the one with the highest average score (factoring in rating weightages) will be declared the Most Popular Website in its category.
03. Verified vs. Guest Ratings
- Ratings submitted by verified users (via system sign-in and one-time phone OTP verification) will receive 100% weighting in the evaluation process. We encourage all users to verify their ratings to maximize their impact.
- Anyone can rate a website — no account is required. However, guest ratings will carry less weight.
- A summary of ratings will be visible once a website has received at least 400 verified ratings.
How Reviews Works
01. Why is it important?
While public ratings help determine popularity, written reviews offer valuable feedback — especially for judges and the website owners/developers.
02. Review Process
- Reviews will not be visible to the public; they will only be accessible to BestWeb.LK judges and administrators.
- Reviews can only be submitted after a rating has been given for that particular website.
- All reviews will be compiled and shared with the website owners/developers to help them gain insights from use.
03. The Process
- A Rating Logo will be provided to initially screened and evaluated participants, enabling their inclusion in the Rating & Review process.
- It is mandatory for participants to display the Rating Logo prominently on their website throughout the competition to remain eligible.
- The corresponding rating link will be internally connected to the BestWeb.LK Rating & Review system and linked to the participant’s home page.
- All evaluations will be conducted based on respective categories to ensure fair assessment.
- Throughout the Rating & Review period, the BestWeb.LK Technical Team will actively monitor the participating sites using an automated system within the specified time frame. This thorough monitoring will determine the Most Popular award winners in each category.
Promotional Activities
Participants are encouraged to engage in promotional activities to enhance the visibility of their websites, including placing banners on other websites that run ads or conduct marketing activities during the rating & review period.
